Ya, it looked like the Oilers of old for the first 20, chasing the puck and blowing coverages. They stepped it up a bit in the second (missed the 3rd for soccer practice and beer) but the Sharks also eased on the attack. Long way to go still for the young Oilers, but still a few bright spots tonight. Sharks looked deadly and are a real threat for a good play off run. Hopefully the next meetings aren't so one sided

I read softball game and thought WTF? Then read location. I wont be playing ball till may up here And all you needed to see was the first period. was over after that, got to take the paper bag off of my head mid way thru the third though

Good on the sharks for letting EDM come back a bit and make the score closer.

This is really what it was yesterday. Hope these kids realize that all their offensive talent in the world isn't going to help if they don't play some sort of two-way hockey.

While this is true, DD needs to step up and make some saves. It's not like these were 2 on 1 goals where he was going from side to side. He was getting burnt just kneeling there.

Not a terrible signing especially since it will be prorated to about 450K this season. In the playoffs one of out biggest question marks ove rthe past few years has beenout forward depth beyond the 1 and 2 lines. Now we've got a 80r 9 capable guys to potentially fill those 3 and 4 line spots and hopefully McLellen can find some chemestry

Yes, I agree, very low risk move and if he can provide help to our weak 3rd line he could be a steal. Great move by Wilson.

By the way, Marleau is getting close to #400. It would be great to see him reach 500 goals as a Shark before he is done although this may be a challenge.

It's a shame that he'll probably get close to 500 but won't get it, and he almost certainly would have gotten it had it not been for the 2 lockouts. Still, fingers crossed!
